New team member: Liora Jaffe joins LINQ as Project Manager

We are happy to welcome Liora Jaffe, who joined LINQ as a Project Manager on August 1, 2020. Liora is a social scientist holding dual bachelor’s degrees from the University of California, Berkeley in Sociology and Legal studies. Following her undergraduate education, she completed a Master of Science in Public and Non-profit Studies at the University of Hamburg. Before joining LINQ Liora worked as a research assistant on a grant funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Liora’s prior professional experience includes working as a project coordinator and leading a communications department as a Jr. Project Manager in the German non-profit sector. In addition, she worked in the field with a U.S. based international humanitarian aid organisation.

At LINQ Liora will facilitate the implementation of ongoing projects across different funders. She will support management of the EDCTP project TriageTB and the EIT Health initiative iPDM-Go. Furthermore, Liora will help our projects adapt to the new, more virtual work situation which is caused by the current pandemic. By coordinating our team efforts towards the creation of virtual learning and support environments for young scientists, she will contribute to the development of timely innovative solutions for capacity building.
